Fluke & Amazon: Caught Between a Rock and a Hard Place

I have an unhappy puzzle. I have just made a purchase of two Fluke products from Amazon UK having factored in the current promotion from Fluke: Buy a Fluke, get a FREE Fluke!

To cut a long story short, Fluke does not accept "aggregations" of invoices, and because my items shipped on consecutive days Amazon has generated 2 seperate invoices from my single order. The combined order qualifies for a Level 2 gift, but not when split.

An example of a Level 2 gift is a free Fluke 115 multimeter for spending £500 to £899 in a single order.

I contacted Amazon via their chat system, the CS operative told me to combine the invoices myself. I haven't tried this because concatenating documents doesn't make a single invoice with a single total.

So I contacted Fluke CS Norwich who said, after seeing my Order Summary and two invoices, they won't accept it and advised me to contact Amazon for a single invoice.

I really hoped for a bit of common sense from Fluke since my invoices do not represent an aggregation of seperate purchases. But no luck.

Thoughts anyone? Can such a puzzle be solved?

return items then reorder, having first checked delivery prefs.

Thanks for the idea. When I made my order I did check the box "bundle items together for fewer deliveries...". Might be worth trying again.

I agree. They are entitled to apply whatever T's & C's they want. It is only the spirit of the terms they are breaching since I have provided them with my order summary which proves I am not aggregating invoices from separate purchases.

Did you log the chat?  If so, you have proof that Amazon authorized you to generate a combined invoice, a sort of self-service, on their behalf.  You'll have to do some editing beyond concatenation, but if anyone questions it you say the Fluke wanted you to contact Amazon for a single invoice and when you did, their rep told you how to get that single invoice. 
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

Ha ha brilliant! >:D Though I won't be trying that. I'll probably just phone someone on Monday since email and chat have so far proved fruitless. Or maybe return and reorder (as suggested by eti) since both items will now be at a closer Amazon facility maybe next time they'll be dispatched together, who knows? On the other hand, I could order Keysight from Mouser, teach them both a lesson... 8)

Update. Thanks to everyone who commented. Today Fluke validated my promotion registration. All good here :-+
