WaveDrom as a monkey-patch service
« on: November 06, 2017, 09:45:56 pm »
Hi all! A few weeks ago I finished my work on my website that allows one to monkey-patch WaveDrom support (see here: http://wavedrom.com/) from forums like this that do not naturally support them. I really missed this feature in this forum at some point when I was asking something about Microcontrollers and had to export and image awkwardly to show a timing diagram. Maybe somebody finds this useful as well?

How to do this:

1) Go to http://wavedrom.craftware.info/html/index.html
2) Enter your WaveDrom timing-diagram script, for example:

{signal: [
  {name: 'clock',  wave: 'pppppppp'},
  {name: '42',     wave: '0.10..10'},
  {},
  {name: "signal", wave: "1010xxxx"}
]}

3) Copy link and paste it here, like so:

I found this a really useful feature. A bit of self-promotion, but I also would like to see if someone finds this useful, and also if my small server can keep up with the render requests.

Cheers,
  Paul
