Your eBay button
« on: July 15, 2010, 02:13:20 am »
One of the buttons on your blog is eBay. When clicked-- items appear. Are we to assume that these items are recommended by you? What controls which items appear there?

No, they are not recommended by me.
I'm just trialing it to see if I get a referral revenue.
Results are based on the generic search terms "oscilloscope" and "fluke".

Amazon ads are cleaner than the ebay ones.

I'm working with them but I have no good revenues since my website is not visited so much.

That's, I'll check it out. The Ebay thing isn't making much.
Perhaps I could put up a list of "Dave Approved" items?

Dave.

I realize now what a stupid question it was. There's no way you could sift through all the offerings to see which one's you'd recommend.

Yeap, you can choose your favorite items and promote them.

In my site I added the USB Complete book by Jan Axelson, I love that book.

I've singed up (waiting approval), and looks like they allow international account transfer for the money.
With 100,000+ hits a month I'm hoping I can get some serious revenue  ;D

If anyone has any other ideas on how to monetise the blog without plastering the site with useless crap, I'm all ears!

Thanks.
Dave.

i would like the item to be categorized... test equipment, mcu, programmer, smd capacitors etc etc. more items... more revenue i think. will you get the fee if i use the search box? it seems to popup new "normal ebay" window ???

Yep, apparently I get a commission on anything you buy through Amazon.com if you use the search box link.
I've taken off the ebay links for now.
