ex-HP sites in Colorado?
« on: June 28, 2019, 08:57:55 pm »
I'm going to be in Loveland next month shooting a big tournament, and I'm already planning to visit the former site of HP's computer division.  Are there any other places in the area which might be of casual interest to someone who never got to see the company locations during its heyday?

Fort Collins and Colorado Springs come to mind.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Sure you want to do this?

I had the same idea about a tour around the UK visiting all the sites that were significant when the UK had a computing industry. I got about a third of the way through then gave up as it was too depressing and not much was left.

Used to travel to CXO at least once a year while working for the HP storage division. Good fun really, generally added vacation to the trip, visiting the Rockies but more often travelled around in Utah.

Not sure but I think someone told me the whole of the CXO site got demolished  :wtf:

Earlier I got to see the outside of The Mill, Digital Equipment HQ.  Depressing given DEC had gone t^^ up by then  :(

All just memories now  :-\
