Only possibility I could see is solar activity, forecasting flares isn't very accurate. You can have a 25% chance one hour that goes to a 5% chance the next hour. The sun is really active last year and this year with next year expected to be even more active.  I don't want a flare strong enough to cause damage but I would like to see the northern lights where I live.

Good site for watching the flare activity, especially if you are interested in how it effects things like radio is solar ham.
