There's the Intrepid museum which I keeping not making it to. It's an aircraft carrier set up as a museum, and they've got a space shuttle as well as something from the SR-71 lineage (maybe an A-12?). If you've never gotten to see a Shuttle or a Blackbird up close, it's absolutely worth the trip. If you're REALLY into space/aviation and have the entire week to kill, you might consider trekking down to DC for a couple of days (2-3 hours by train). The Udvar-Hazy center at the Dulles airport is absolutely unparalleled in terms of aviation history--in addition to a Space Shuttle and an SR-71 they have a Concorde, the Enola Gay, and an astounding assortment of aircraft all the way back to the Wright Brothers and beyond. And of course there's the Air and Space Museum, as well as all of the other Smithsonian museums on the national mall in DC proper which are free and top-notch.
