Maintain your old electronics!  If you don't preserve it, it could be lost forever!

I bet there will be a nice jump in EEVblog traffic. That is a pretty neat result from the attack. Not only does the dislikes increase the "User interaction" as Dave has mentioned which results in a positive, but the added attention to the attack makes for even more positive results. A total fail for Batteroo or whoever else paid for the dislikes.  :-DD

  • Why shouldn't we question everything?
    • It's not really a Blog

I'm not quite sure how youtube ratings and payments work - isn't it necessary to actually watch a video before being able to rate it? And doesn't the per-views fee paid to channel owners depend only on views, not like/dislikes?

If so, then by running a mass 'dislike' program someone was actually handing Dave more money. Not to mention the extra views from the notoriety. Pretty funny.

Ha ha. Unless Dave was running the Vietnamese hate-scam himself. That might work too. (Just kidding. If it was, he'd have been silly to analyze and talk about the trends.)

So, channel view fee arbitrage - are the costs of hiring Vietnamese click-hoards less than the fees from youtube for video views?
I think that's a profit opportunity that wouldn't last very long.

Lol @ batteriser backfire

Would be hilarious if all the publicity catches the attention of indigogo and they cancel the entire thing before the funding ends.
Batteriser get nothing.

See it's really only the techo and electronics community that are a wake up to these things and your average person has little chance of knowing any better than they are told by the people pushing it, also even a lot of qualified electronics people wont know until these types of gadgets hit the market,

I've been around the electronics industry for over 25 years but it was only 12 months ago that I visited a university and a kind fellow mentioned DJ and EEV, I had absolutely no idea what he was making reference to during a discussion about DMMs, so even those in the know may not know.
