Digi-Key did get back to me saying the repeating bot test was due to my "old browser". Yet the problem was fixed afterwards with no change to my browser
The web developers don't know anything about electronic components, and their management seems uninterested in making the website better.
In the end, everybody appears busy and takes home a paycheque.
Sometimes I see improvements, but no - I just tried choosing a voltage in picklist search-filter for linear Vreg.
Type in "5V" and everything containing a "5V" shows up like "-19.5V" or "3.3V, 2.5V, 2.63V" FFS
Website still considers it a text string most of the time. Sigh. After all these years, EE's can't enter a number to the Digi-Key website without Idiocracy happening.
For fun, tried to buy 2032 lithium coin cells. There supposedly are issues shipping lithium batteries - but the US has a small cell exemption they seem to be bungling. No CR2032 is blowing up or burning anything, ever.
Search results gave me marketplace-only listed "Jaunch America" and $41 shipping and "This product is unavailable in your selected currency."
Why the currency error message? Change to $USD and it's $30 shipping for the $0.35 battery, hilarious.
This is no fewer than 4 website errors. Sigh.
