If you are like me, it will only stay clean for 2 hours.

Took more than the predicted hour to upload. I need to check if anyone replaced my broadband with a dial up modem.

My approach is minimal. i only buy something if I don't have an alternative.

I support a tour!

Honestly I can't imagine a clean lab, I don't even see how it's possible!  No offense to the post before me but my god I could never be that sterile about it!  (I watched muted so I have no idea what was said), watching the neat orderly way things where posted in boxes, I think about how my desk is so covered in things going on you can't even see the desk, but at the same time if I need my multimeter it's right there at arms grab at any moment, need a 470uf cap, I give it a 60% chance I find one in less then 10 seconds on the desk, if not I know there are some in the actual cap parts drawer :).  I wouldn't be able to go to bed at night knowing my meter was in a box because I know shortly after getting up I am going to need it and I will probably forgot it was in a box and go crazy trying to find it hehe!  I think tomorrow I will post a pic of my lab when it's day light and show :).

In my defense:
The lab table also serves as the kids homework area and general family desk.

Yeah, the pink box gave away the family concept :)

I've managed to figure out how to get halfway decent readings from free multimeter from Harbor Freight.  Yes I still have my "nice" Radio Shack one but, the throw away one is much smaller and portable.

I'll go first.

What's wrong with that ps3? Yellow lights?

Red light of death. If I cared enough, I'd find someone to re-ball the BGA devices, but I already have a working PS3, so this one will sit on the shelf for eternity, probably.

If you have a hot air station and some liquid flux, you could most likely reflow the chip by hand (works most of the time - at the very least temporarily). Really wouldn't take you very long.

Either way, thanks for taking the time to post the vid.

I'll go first.
