I own a Xiaomi RedMi Note 7. As with most Android phones, they promise the earth, but then deliver a 0.5 acre plot of wasteland. Now, there's a new update coming out - the Xiaomi fanboys are getting themselves as ridiculously hyped up as ever, but boy... the marketing page - who wrote this HILARIOUS, irrelevant, hyperbolic GUFF; trying to copy Apple, MUCH?
https://en.miui.com>> One of these VERY awkward, cheesy tagline on that page is:
"Break the boundaries of space. Peer into the far corners of the universe" >> Oh wait, there's another tagline, further down... wait for it...
"Nature is full of life" - truly, simply profound, such an observation is.
>> Hang on, THERE'S MORE...
"Your device is a part of nature
All you have to do is look at your screen: blazing sun, soft breeze, and refreshing rain will be there.
Just like outside your window.">> One final example, then I leave you to cringe with a visit of your own:
"Uninstalling an app
One leaves. The rest say goodbye."Erm, righty ho then... :/
Erm, what the; what does that have to do with
a phone update? This lot have more cheese than Holland, more awkwardness than a room full of 14 year olds at a school disco. Wow... Apple at least release USEFUL FEATURES, and don't hire marketing goons to generate copy based on kids story books!
Maybe it's a Chinese/Indian thing (their main target demographic for these phones) - they're still learning how to market stuff well. One feels they pull random operatives off the production line, ask them to fill in a cursory quiz, then task them with writing marketing copy... or that's how it FEELS. LOL!
