Digital Multi-Meter or £10 Shopping Voucher
« on: September 14, 2017, 01:47:01 pm »
Hello,

We are after your opinions, one of our main competitiors is currently providing a multi-meter with each order they receive whilst we offer a £10 voucher.

What would you prefer?

Thanks

Neither - knock £10 off the price.

With your buying power then I would expect that the meter would be one worth having so I'd take the meter, you can never have too many meters  ;D

I bought two things from the aforementioned competitor recently and the DMMs that are free are totally shit. They are backlit DT830s worth about £2 a pop in quantity. Ergo, scrap the free stuff and make it ten quid cheaper without the voucher code and you're already winning.

I'd pay that extra £10 back not to stick a massive sticker on the top with the suppliers name on it as well like your competitor does as well.

Rigol DMMs need more than a couple of £100's chopping off the price. The "support" I have received is nothing more than gaslighting, them acknowledging the faults after stupid levels of interaction and then them pretending it is being dealt with.

Siglent released what appeared to be a quite shitty slow 5.5+ digit meter but buckled down and took their customer complaints seriously. From what I gather a Siglent is a much better proposition than an aging crappy Rigol bench DMM.

well legally, it should be clearly stated either way.
If you look at the link it is clearly stated.

Business suppliers basically never show prices with VAT.

that link is broken, it shouldnt have the dot at the end.

the basic missunderstanding is because the main page only shows the base price,
but thanks for pointing out that both prices are on the individual item pages.

no if you can clarify that you DONT stick company stickers on the products then i'm a future customer.  8)

Depends. If I'm a person, buying the scope, I would prefer the price reduced. If I'm buying, as an employee of a company, then the multimeter please.
Unless I also need a multimeter. If I also need a multimeter, I would like to make them buy a nice Fluke and not the freebie.

Ah, choices, choices...

I hear you! :-)

All Rigol products sold through www.rigolonline.co.uk will not have a branded sticker on.
