Exporting (Shipping) an oscilloscope from the USA , help needed

Hello Folks

I bought an Oscilloscope in the USA and I would like to send It to a friend living in Bahrain. I would like to ship it using DHL and all I have right now is the Oscilloscope and It's box no papers nothing! What are the regulations? has anyone tried shipping an oscilloscope internationally? what about customs and other fees etc..

On ordinary scopes, there are no export restrictions (I think there are some once you get into advanced microwave gear). As for import regulations to Bahrain, you'll have to ask someone there -- it's different for every country.

DHL has no presence in the US, and use the US Postal service. Tracking is nonexistent

DHL Express is another story, perhaps you mean them? That's OK.
Otherwise UPS or FedEx

Thank you guys. What I'm asking about is the US regulations and laws! I've got the Rigol DS1054Z is what to be shipped, now are there any regulations or restrictions on shipping this piece of equipment? Do I need any special paperwork for that or tax or fees whatever??

"Normal" DHL cooperates with USPS in that states.
