Can someone calibrate my 87 III for reasonable cost?
« on: November 16, 2012, 04:49:28 am »
Just bought 87 III from ebay in apparently excellent condition. I am a newbee don't know if I should send out for Cal.... as it is expensive. Are there some simple checks I can do. I have an old fluke 77 my brother gave to me. Can I use this to compare, or should I send it out to one of you guys to check? cheers Tom

Yes, use the two meters to compare.
If they are both spot with each other, it is virtually certain that both are ok and within spec.
