microchip icd4 metal enclosure fail!

i have ordered microchip mplab icd4 a while back , i just received it. as seen in  mike's review video it has a metal enclosure.

But problem is mini usb connector is not align with metal enclosure ,  i am  able to plug usb, but a little tight. now i have to hold cable at right angle to make usb functional , i think connector is damaged :--  .
