Now we not only have to fight for free software, but also, for free (as in freedom to use) hardware.
It started with Apple, now Microsoft also wants to lock down ARM devices, and even some Android phones are starting to be shipped with bootloaders trying to prevent you from installing a newer version of the open-source smart phone operating system, so that when you want a newer version of the OS, you have to buy a new phone.
