Old Philips Pm3212 scope Interest
« on: November 01, 2013, 08:34:20 pm »
Cleaning out my storage locker and found a old battered Philips PM 3212 that I forgot I have. Fired it up and appears to still work, seems to have some issues with the triggering at higher voltages if the waveform is less than 1 division (maybe normal), but otherwise appears to be fine. Can post some pics. The paint on the case is discolored and scratched and could use a repaint. Don't want much for it, maybe $40.00 + shipping. Anybody interested and i can send upload some pics.

Yes, took the chassis apart and it is very easy to work on. Neat to see the old style pcb's and componets.

You guys can't bear to venture too far away from us and our cheaper gas. :P

A few years ago I was near the Blue Water Bridge that crosses from Michigan into Canada and there's a gas station a few streets away. All the pumps were filled up with cars with Ontario plates and several had gas cans in their trunks they were filling up too.  :-DD

I suppose in your case, it might not be worth the drive to Buffalo to fill up.

Anybody

You still have it  :o

I'm at UBC, where are you?  I'm just curious. I can't take your scope, I already have a Lecroy here.

"She who must be obeyed" will not let me have another scope, simply because in her opinion I don't turn on the Lecroy enough times in a day to justify another one (her words) :(

Personally, I think logical thinking SWMBOs should be banned from the labs of TWMOs :)
