Alternative to MCP4725?
« on: September 19, 2013, 02:54:41 am »
Well, I have a TI account, so I might as well just ask. What would be the closest alternative to the Microchip MCP4725 DAC. I will use this as the voltage control loop of a Linear PSU.
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.

Figure out which specs are important, put this in a parametric search, and find the cheapest suitable part. Dave has done a video about this.

The answer depends on how the chip is used. If you used some particular attributes of that chip, it would be harder to find replacement. Otherwise, it is just a dac - aka too  many alternatives to list.
