New Rigol DS1000B Series! --- my mistake!

I've frequented the Rigol NA website a few times in the last week and just today I noticed they seem to have expanded the lower end DS1000 series scopes with a new "DS1000B" line.  I didn't see it posted or mentioned here, so I thought I'd put it out there!  Anyone heard of these models before?  I'm guessing they are new, but I could have missed them previously.  All models in the DS1000B line have 4 channels, and up to 200MHz bandwidth!  Memory storage nothing to write home about...

So, lots more choices for those of us looking at purchasing a scope! 

What do people think about this range?  Seems to really fill in the low-end for those needing 4 analog channels, not needing memory/waveform storage/decoding options/...

Yes, lack of any excitement here is definitely consistent with that!  Seems I completely missed this series of 4Ch scopes on my first look at Rigol.

For the record, I've just checked Rigol's firmware website and there's a new firmware version for the 1000B series, released today.

Release number: DS1000B Firmware_00.04.01.02.00

That is a pleasant surprise, I'd say! Honestly, I would not have expected Rigol to still spend R&D time supporting a scope model that must be >5 years old.

Makes me hopeful that we will eventually see further firmware updates for the DS1000Z series ;-)
