WTB (PH) - homemade single-sided PCB makers
« on: July 13, 2024, 09:14:02 am »
Hi ... Looking for electronics hobbyist(s) in the Manila, Philippines area who are experienced in and are willing to make simple pcb's for me.

I am an electronics hobbyist who creates designs with discrete electronics components, typically with logic gates, micro-controllers, led's, some buttons, LCD displays, audio-amplifiers, power supplies, etc ... I live in a high-rise condo and don't want to work with chemicals, fumes, etc ... and building rules do not allow me ... so I am looking for other hobbyists who etch/mill their own pcb's for their projects and are willing to do the same for my designs for a fee ... mostly single-sided although if you can do double-sided then better ... 1 or 2 copies only ... mostly with standard 0.1" spaced through-hole components with maybe an occasional 0805 or 0612 SMD ... pcb dimensions from credit card to maybe 6x8 inches max ... no need for plating-thru of via's / drilling / solder-mask / silkscreen / tinning ... turn-around time of week or more would be absolutely fine.

Preempting typical responses and suggestions ... no, I don't want to do this myself with toner / transfer / laser / pre-sensitized board / copper clad etc. ... no I don't want to buy a CNC/3D printer that can mill without chemicals and fumes ... yes, I use JLCPCB/PCBWAY/similar for my more complicated 4-layer boards but I just need a simple basic and no-frills single-layer board ... yes, I could send it to China but I won't ... yes, I use prototyping/vero boards and they perfectly suit my needs but I sometimes want a proper pcb made.

Anyone who is interested or who know where these kind of services are offered anywhere in the MM area? TYIA

I know you're already expecting a response like this, but unless money is not a problem and you need these boards for prototyping ASAP, it is quite literally impossible to beat JLCPCB, PCBWAY, etc for this.  I ordered boards for $4 including shipping the other day from JLCPCB.  It's impossible to beat that.  I saw you're not in the US, so maybe you are able to get this stuff for cheaper than I can, but outside of some niche case it is just too expensive for me to justify doing this (not even considering danger, time, or skill required).
If you really must do this and only need single sided boards, you can do this yourself, its honestly not that dangerous as long as you take basic precautions.  Ferric Chloride (the etcher I use) is really not that bad as long as you have gloves.
