Also has Artek watermarks all over, which is annoying. A form of vandalism, very disrespectful of the original document.
Can you fix that with a PDF editor, or are they baked in?
Firstly the PDFs are 'protected', which just means using one of the online services to unlock them.
I used
https://smallpdf.com/unlock-pdfThen to extract individual schematics at full resolution from the pdf to separate PNG files, I used photoshop CS6. The watermark texts are in the images same as everything else. There wasn't any indication that they are maintained as separate layers or entities in the PDF. In fact given the intention to 'visibly sign' a document like that to stop 3rd parties selling it, it would be pointless to add watermarks in a way that allowed easy removal.
I'm pretty sure removal would require manually photoshop editing them out of every single page. Incredibly tedious.
But I'm going to a commercial copy service on Monday, will ask them about it.
About that repair manual on ebay, maybe....
Sigh. There seems to be some kind of curse on 'manuals for this spectrum analyzer.' First that incredible runaround from the 8594E seller about the User Guide. Now this seller with the potential copy of the repair manual, is.... really something else. The pages shown in his photos are absolutely definitely that exact same manual, though in different ring binders as two volumes of some doco set for a larger system. But is it an original or a photocopy, and are the foldouts there? Can not tell from his pics.
I've nicely asked him if he could please look. He's responded once, one line, no useful information. Tried again, no reply so far.
Questions:
1. Is the title page Part Number 08590-90316 ?
2. Is it original or a photocopy?
3. Are the large foldouts present? Pages range 381 to 551. (Will be in his 2nd binder)
Is that too much to ask? Too complicated/hard? Apparently it is.
If it's a photocopy the foldouts will very likely be absent or messed up.
