I had this model in mind too and after looking around for a 230VAC model I realized that the UK distributor was bound by Hakko not to sell outside UK and the other place was Hungary at near 150 Euro. This is ~$200 before shipping, and if the UK guy was sending out it would end up about same price too. Only difference, he had the silver or black colors available as well. For +25% of Hakko's EU price I opted for an OKI Metcal PS-900 and I did not regret it one bit. That's another class of iron too close in EU price to consider the triple eight anymore. Maybe a relevant pricing is about in OZ and you guys should lend an eye at OKI too? I wanna thank kaz911 for his opinions answering my bit older PMs about JBC etc. BTW.
