I have a oscilloscope calibrator for 300 Euros, 20 Euros shipping to most EU country's.


Three Squarewave Output Modes
10Hz to 1MHz
Direct Readout of Oscilloscope Deflection Error
5mA calibration current loop for current probe calibration
Amplitude Calibration Mode
    Period: fixed at approx. 1 ms or dc
    Amplitude: 200µV p-p to 100V p-p
Pulse Modes
    Period: 1µs to 10ms in decade steps
High Amplitude Output
    Rise Time: unterminated: 100ns or less.  Terminated into 50ohms: 10ns or less
Fast-Rise Outputs
    Rise-Time (Terminated into 50 ohms): < 1.0ns
    Polarity: simultaneous positive and negative going

hope its ok to ask a Q about it on the b/s/w subforum.

other than calibration jobs, can this plugin be used for other 'daily' things?  I'm kind of curious what ability it provides beyond doing cals.

It makes a good reference level pulse generator for testing transient response or doing magnitude and phase FFTs for quick and dirty vector network analysis.

It is also handy if you need a pulse generator with a 100 volt output range.  One thing the high amplitude output was used for is driving tunnel diode pulse generators.  I think it could also be used to drive an avalanche pulse generator.
