Nice thing about this power supply is that it really has a softstart and never overshoots it's voltage setting. This is the reason a company I know that had replaced all their Philips powersupplies with new digital ones came back on their decision and had all the old ones refurbished.

It is a very good power supply, I update to a "digital" version because I like to have a "sexy"  ;) lab but not for any technical reason.

It is a good deal, grab it because in a few days it will go on eBay and for this price it will be gone very quickly.

Willing yes but the shipping cost will be much to high, this power supply is quite heavy.

If the USA deal doesn't happen, I'd like to buy with local pickup.
But only if previous candidate doesn't bite.

Why would you ship using UPS? Is there no postal service in Belgium? I expect shipping to the US to be around €45 when sending something to the US.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

I don't think shipping 12 KG to US cost only 45 Euros, don't talk me about shipping with postal services, last time I used it I pay 75 Euros to ship 7kg to Italy.

12kg is quite heavy indeed. Your postal service is also expensive! Sending up to 10kg to the US (or the rest of the world) costs €58 from the NL (up to 20kg €106). Sending 7kg to Italy costs €25 in the NL (with tracking). If you are close to the NL border it may be cheaper to post your items in the NL.

So is anyone else from the posters above interested?
If no, I'm going to close the deal with the seller.

From Norway shipping is also very expensive, compared from US.. dunno what they are doing..

shipping from the US to Germany is always a bargain, Mouser and Digikey even ship via FEDEX for free above 100 Euro order.
But shipping from Germany to the US and ridiculously expense.
I have no idea, why that is.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world, those who can count and those who can not.

It arrived today and is doing duty at the moment.

I've got a receiver to repair where the transfo died. i'm using the PM 1542 in symmetric config to see if anything else died in the receiver, or if there is an unexpected high load that took down the transfo.
There isn't. Unfortunately for me a replacement 2x22v (40+ €) transfo costs more than I ever paid for the amp(20€). so it's beyond economical repair unless I can trace down a 2nd hand replacement .

But the supply works :)

Gratz. You should give the caps a visual check over especially the ones on the front board, Philips of this age can get leaky.
Saw this posted not so long ago (dutch?) unrelated but anyway, http://www.circuitsonline.net/forum/view/116927

The cost of shipping international from Belgium almost seems criminal I wonder how much business they have lost because of it.
