While looking for a good price for the electronic load M9711 from Maynuo, I recently stumbled over Maynuo's European online shop at Maynuo.eu.
The price for the M9711 there is ok (599€ incl. VAT), but not extremely cheap. However the "LED" model M9811 with 200W and additional LED mode costs only 538.45€ (incl. VAT). Which is already quite nice as the specs seems identical apart from +50W and additional LED mode (whatever this is) but for some reason the 300W version M9812 is sold for the exact same price. So the 300W M9812 is about 60€ cheaper than the 150W M9711 and considering all specs and statements on the Maynuo site, the M98xx models are the upgraded versions of the M97xx models.

They sent from Europe (NL) with DHL express for 20€ (said TNT, used DHL).

Note this is not the official Maynuo website! This is a webshop from JR electronics which registered several eu domains for cheap Chinese brands like Atten.eu, Gratten.eu, Siglent.eu and probably some others.

Yeah, admittedly it seems a bit fishy that this Jonas Rijnders runs so many Webshops which clone large parts of the original Chinese sites.
I can't tell how legitimate this is, i.e. if he has some kind of distributor contract with all those companies, of if he imports/sells the stuff on his own account.
Anyway, even if he's an unofficial distributor, I prefer buying from another European country over buying from China with all the customs/tax issues involved.
Also handling of warranty seems more promising when buying from a European company.

Last year I ordered a M9811 directly from the manufacturer. It was $430 with DHL shipping to the US (arrived in 48 hours) and a USB adapter. I didn't have to pay any tax.  It has a 110/220V switch at the back if it matters.

My contact was  'Kate' in the upper left corner here http://www.maynuo.com/english/

You may want to give it a try. I don't

BTW, they refused to send me a 'china only' model like the ones you can find on ebay.

It makes sense to buy from a European based company but I found out the hard way that JR electronics is just moving boxes and is not interested in doing any after sales service. Better check the forum to find a distributor who understands the meaning and mutual benefits of 'service' and 'long term customer relationship'.

@Zapta: in the US the import taxes start at higher prices and are (AFAIK) much lower. In the EU you just have to assume to pay VAT+import duties for anything you order outside the EU.

Hallo Lars,

Yes, you are right. The M9812 is LED load and M9712 is the standard load.
M9812 has the Led mode but has a slower speed in fall/rise time. M9712 is higher in the speed.

I was thinking if I would need a 150W or 300W. Finally I decided for the 300W and I am glad I did as I was using >150W load often since then. Such a load is a very helpful device. Once you have it you will bite yourself you that you did not purchase one before. No more struggling with a bunch of hot and sizzling power load resistors or light bulbs. Just enter the load in Watt or Ampere....

I purchased my 300W M9712 from seller hiplanezhang here: http://www.dhgate.com/product/programmable-dc-electronic-load-0-30a-0-150v/205220315.html
for $480 (thats ~€430 now, it was €390 the time I purchased it) DHL shipped to Germany (plus import VAT of course).
Didn't find it cheaper anywhere. I can recommend this seller: the transaction was very smooth (friendly and helpful seller) and I am very pleased with the quality of the device.

Edit: I just see that he charges $166 for DHL. Might be worth of dropping him an email if he can ship by DHL for the price of China post. I remember he did with my order.

Honestly i doubt that this is true. If it should be true than the manuals and data sheets are wrong. Indeed I checked the specification of the M9712 and M9812 very carefully and there wasn't a a single point where the M9812 was inferior. Actually, the only differences were the LED mode (which is not actually described in the manual apart from that it exists) and the slightly lower short circuit resistance of the M9812. Indeed both use the same transistors anyway, both have the same maximum current slope of 2.5A/µs. How can the (current) rise time be slower/faster if it's specified exactly the same at multiple occurences in the manual?

This is not an advertisment forum to promote your company! As this is the "sales"-area, don't you think you should at least providing the price you are selling the M9812 and M9712 for, especially as your internet site is not giving any clue?

That name sounds familiar. Did you quit working for MCS or did MCS get renamed? Good to know there is a another distributor for Maynuo in Europe.

We do fully support all the products we sell.  If something were to go wrong you'd simply have to ship the unit back to ourselves here in the UK.   We'd also answer any questions about the unit  and if we didn't know try to put you in touch with someone who can.

Our new website is currently being built. It will have prices for some of the products on it.

Have a  great day everyone :-)

Looking for M9812 and ...

Maynuo wants 475$ + 105$ for EMS shipping to Europe + possible customs fee
JR Special Electronics (maynuo.eu) wants 659€ (25€ shipping + 17€ paypal fee already in that price); no customs fee needed
Instruments 4 Engineers wants 770£ (for M9812B; 29.00£ shipping + 22.46£ paypal fee already in that); no customs fee needed

taobao seller wants 330$ + local China shipping + I estimate around 140$ for international shipping and taobao agent fee (which taobao agents are worth checking btw?) + likely customs fee

Any other known/tested possibilities?

I purchased mine (M9712, 300W) here and I was fully satisfied with handling and communication:
http://www.dhgate.com/product/programmable-dc-electronic-load-0-30a-0-150v/205220315.html#s1-0-1b;searl|706204059
While I paid only the China Post fee, the seller sent it by DHL anyway; shipment took only 3 days. Total cost was 472 US$ to Germany.

I posted the following back in May:

I recently purchased a Maynuo M9712 from this vendor:  https://world.taobao.com/item/40584517871.htm?fromSite=main&_u=52kolcu21332

Cost came to $300 plus shipping.  I don't have the figure on shipping but I think it will be about $80.  To test the vendor and system I first ordered the cable.  No problem.  For the electronic load DHL lost track of the package.  When it was delivered the tracking info still showed it was sitting in Honk Kong.

Working with the site was rather frustrating.  The pages could be translated with Google but the content in the popup boxes was still in Chinese.  Overall I'm very happy with the results and will likely use the process again.

Vince

The link shows a strange looking page but I believe that is the correct seller.  I've been using it extensively this past week to check a repaired Astron power supply.  It sure works better than the assortment of load resistors I was using.  Vince

I was wondering about this low price of 1770 RMB (as the unit always costs well above 2000 RMB, very often even  >3000 RMB) and checked the seller on Taobao.
I thought, their picture of the load looked somewhat strange to me and compared to my M9712 and then I knew what was disturbing me: my M9712 has big and clunky connector pods which you probably will need to connect cables which pump 300 Watts into the load.

Look here the original Maynuo M9712:
http://www.maynuo.com/english/xpro.asp?pid=52
The unit of the seller has tiny connector pods. This is not original.

Also, some other seller (with higher prices) call their M9712  "authentic Maynuo M9712" so it could be that this and other sellers are selling a knock-off and not the original. This unusual low price indicates this too.

I think the seller on taobao just put the wrong image on his ad. It looks like one of the Maynuo M66 series power supplies to me.

arekm,

Sorry I missed your post.  Yes I registered and went through the pages of half translated Chinese.  One of the authentication requirements is to provide your mobile phone # to receive a text.  I'd probably do it again.

Arekem

We don't have a quote  in our system for quoting you.  Not saying that we didn't. Just saying that we don't have a record.  In any case  the price you stated seems exaggerated to me.. maybe it included the 20% VAT?

We would be cheaper on the Maynuo M9812 plain.
