looking for flip clock numbers
« on: August 09, 2012, 08:45:14 pm »
Im looking for a set up numbers like an old school flip clock. I need it to be a count down timer so they have to be able to run backwards, so that is the first issue. Im not sure what they are called. Here are some pics that are similar so i am clear what I am talking about. What are they called and where would i purchase the numbers or a complete unity. i need a count down timer about 30 min or so. and the numbers need to be 6 inches to a foot tall. thanks

no idea bout flip clock numbers, but flip dots:

http://www.flipdots.com/flip-dot-boards-xy5-14x28.html

A board 14×28/0.53" is listed at 450 EUR. This
includes display board and driver electronics with RS485 interface. You need
        24V power supply.
There are different options for controllers that are resulting in different
        driving speed.

We can also supply individual strips at 4 EUR/each (7 dots).

These are list prices, excl. shipping or taxes.

Each project is however different and I would prefer to speak directly with
interested people/companies to offer them the most suitable solutions.

Real Circuit design time in minutes= (2 + Nscopes) Testim + (40 +120 Kbrewski) Nfriends

Testim = estimated time in minutes Nscopes= number of oscilloscopes present Kbrewski = linear approx of the nonlinear beer effect Nfriends = number of circuit design friends present
