I'm completely fed up with the selling and buying experience on Ebay, but from my somewhat cursory searches I haven't come up with a good alternative for places for T&M equipment. Is there a secret site out there I've missed (besides right here of course :P)? The selling part is important since I occasionally sell equipment and I'd like to keep doing that.

There are some online groups like: https://groups.io/g/Test-Equipment-For-Sale-Wanted-or-Exchange  (name brand gear only, no off-brand)
Several Facebook groups also.

I have run into some real wackos there too. Bottom line buyer beware, it's just the way it is..
In 2005 there was a father & son scope repair & resale business on ebay. Great feedback. One day the son decides to sell a $500 scope he does not have, and I bought it. Ebay closed the account and that's as far as they would go. I eventually got my money back from the father, but it took a lot of work and a great deal of luck on my part, and honesty on the father's part to make it happen.

now if no shipping, you can get the money back, buy any way, it is quite long time to wait.

Thank you for the link. Groups like that do seem to be the best bet (I joined the other one that trades in Chinesium too). I think I've stuck with ebay for so long because they used to make it easy, but now it's a lot of work listing items, and their buyer/seller protections are a joke.

I would do craigslist but I live in a fairly rural area so unless I'm selling hunting camo or truck parts I doubt I'd get many hits, or be worth dealing with the sketchy buyers that seem to be so common on there.

Craigslist is pretty dead these days, it's all Facebook marketplace and OfferUp now, mostly Facebook in my area.
