LFS: Fluke 27 range switch
« on: January 26, 2021, 01:43:09 am »
Came upon a Fluke 27, but found that the top ring of range switch contacts have been destroyed. Any chance anyone out there has a dead meter I could scavenge a range switch from? Located in North America would be a bonus, Canada an extra bonus.

Have seen this before. I had a 25 that some numpty soldered a wire across the fuse and then proceeded to do whatever blew up the fuse again. That managed to blow up the bottom range switch.

Rather than replace the switch I was given an entire new board assembly by another forum member. There are lots of beaten up units out there which have failed displays so it’s worth hunting around for one of those and just transplanting that.
