For Sale from my excess inventory of X-Ray related equipment......
One Trophy DIGIPAN digital X-Ray imaging plate.
Detail:
This X-Ray imaging plate was an upgrade to the Trophy panoramic Dental X-Ray system. It is a self contained image acquisition plate that passes its image data out in a format that can be used to create the X-Ray image. The communications bearer is RS422 and the power supply requirements are +5V, +15V and -15V.
This plate is unusual in that it is a strip sensor that is moved to create the X axis part of the image. The Y image axis is apparently 1244 pixels. The width of a scan is limited only by the users ingenuity in mounting the plate. The x-Axis movement is tracked using a built in linear optical encoder. Image acquisition is continuous whilst the plate is exposed to X-Ray energy as it is auto sensing.
A chap has gained access to the technical information on the plate and created a working system using it with a relatively low power X-Ray source. He created an interface to reconstruct the image data for display on a PC. Excellent work that he has kindly made public domain here:

https://twitter.com/FauthNiklasMy sincere thanks to forum member 'Lukier' for informing me about this chaps work wit the Digipan plate. Without this information the plate was a total unknown and not useable.
My original comment on the plate when I purchased it:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/x-ray-imaging-the-trophy-digipan-130mm-x-300mm-digital-imaging-plate-inside/It should be noted that this plate does require some form of linear rail system on which to slide, as can be seen in the above referenced project. The results appear excellent however.
These plates originally cost £15K and mine was confirmed functional before sale. I looks unused and is in superb unmolested condition. I have not opened it or done anything with it since purchase in 2016.
I am asking £120 plus postage for this plate which I believe is fair. I am making a loss on it at that price, but it is doing no good sitting in its storage case awaiting my attention.
Located in the UK, but I will ship overseas.
