FS: Binding posts used in µCurrent GOLD
« on: April 10, 2014, 05:05:41 pm »
As some of you may know, I helped Dave source the binding posts used in his µCurrent GOLD. I finally got around taking a few pictures of them so here I am offering them for sale. These are the exact same binding posts you see in Dave's µCurrent GOLD.

$4 for the first pair and $2.5 per additional pair, worldwide shipping included (no tracking). Tracking is an additional $2.4 per shipment if you need it.

Please PM me if interested. Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Franky

P.S. I have asked Dave for permission to mention "µCurrent GOLD" :)

Hi, Franky,

I would like to put those binding posts in a panel. However, there is limited space behind panel to fit binding posts, 9-12 mm. I would like to know the length of protruding part with screw (assume that you would mount these post on very thin panel - what would be protrusion from the back?)
Can you post detailed dimensions of these posts?

Edit:

Can I get some specs for those, if it doesn't bother you.

The mounting key protrudes about 2mm, and then it's about 9mm to the end of the screw.

A few other dimensions: The hole has a diameter of about 5.2mm, the cap on the front has a diameter of about 11.6mm and length of 15.2mm. Diameter of the screw is 3.8mm. The mounting key is about 4 x 5.4mm.

There actually aren't a lot of specs given to my from the supplier, apart from the dimensions I posted above. The materials used on the binding post and the soldering tab are indicated as gold plated copper, while the washer and nut are gold plated iron.
