C.R.O. - Free to a good home - Vancouver only
« on: March 01, 2014, 06:13:15 am »
READ FIRST: Located in Port Moody, British Columbia and is for local pickup only. I can't be bothered to ship this anywhere. If still interested, please read on...

Heathkit single channel 5MHz cathode ray tube oscilloscope, model 10-4540
Includes: schematic, assembly manual and kit builder's guide (beautifully illustrated)
Approx. 1975 vintage. Device is in good working condition with a nice level, bright trace, and sharp trigger.
Obviously, it is basic in specification and functionality, but it's good for a beginner or someone with simple needs. It served me well for many projects.

I'm posting this here first because I feel I owe something to my fellow members, and I know you will appreciate it. If nobody here can put it to good use, I'll start posting to HAM sites, and eventually Craigslist. Or perhaps the local hacker space will take it. It just doesn't feel right to send a working CRO to the landfill.

This would be pretty good for ham use.  W2AEW did a circuit for monitoring the RF output of a transmitter
