FS: Tektronix 2465B 400MHz for repair/parts (UK OX12)
« on: September 27, 2020, 10:40:36 am »
Vintage 1989 (no extra options) - has had only light use in its entire life.
Was working fine up to last year.
Went to use it this year and it went bang when I turned up the display intensity (which was a bit dim and fuzzy)!
Small amount of magic smoke from the back around IEC socket but can't see what caused it.
Suspect HT went but haven't looked at that part of cct.
I had intended to replace all caps, etc. but only got as far as removing a few and then gave up.
Its now in 'kit' form with some boards in a box but its all there.
Pickup only.  Oxford area.

No probes included. Any offers?

Sounds like maybe the Rifas in the Shaeffner IEC chassis plug have done their usual thing?

If so it's quite a simple check and fix.
