[SOLD]: [EU] Anritsu MS4622B, VNA, 10MHz - 3GHz

Selling a used Anritsu MS4622B because of upgrading to MS4623B. Price 2490€, realistic offers welcome.

The device is in perfect technical condition. Traces of use are minimal, the display is very bright and sharp. The GPIB interface works. Installed options: 2 - Time Domain, 11NF - female N test ports.

Both lithium batteries have been replaced, which is a complicated action. In the event that this should become necessary again, a corresponding documentation and the necessary aids are enclosed. The ALC of the HF generator was then recalibrated.

The device works very accurately, see the diagram below. It shows the measurement of S21 of a verification kit in contrast to the original measurement with another calibrated VNA. In the diagram below, the ripple of the measurement was eliminated by mathematical methods. The maximum difference to the original measurement is 0.009 dB.

Known defects:
- Feet and side handles are missing.
- Ethernet interface reports error, but internal hardware test without error. I can't test it because I don't have an AUI converter. The Ethernet interface can however no more than is possible via GPIB.

The Anritsu VNA are not as well known as the HP 8753 series, but in some aspects they are ahead.

The MS4622B is comparable to the 8753ES, but is of a more recent origin, has a higher system dynamic range (125 vs 110dB), tolerates a higher input level (28 vs 10dBm) and supports some concepts like network extraction and arbitrary impedance transformations, which the 8753ES doesn't know. Especially the user interface is much better designed and the display is pleasantly richer in contrast. I own both and can compare them.
