Hi guys,
i am selling one of my HV power supplys: It's a LKB Bromma 2197, a rather beefy HV power supply that can deliver up to 2.5kV DC. It was originally intended to be used as a PSU in biochemistry (DNA strain separation in gels). I am selling it because i simply don't need a 2.5kV supply anymore and it is taking up a lot of space on the bench.
Specs:
-2.5 kV, 250 mA and 100 W max. At 2.5kV, that's a whopping 4 mA
-decent accuracy, manufacturer claims better than 1%, i measured a delta V of 1-2V@ 1kV [only stable above ~200V, don't think about using it below that voltage]
-has a timer for 0-60 hours of operation before shutting off
-multiple safety switches, the outputs are not live when you turn the PSU on
-voltage, current and power can be set and read via a remote interface. Absolutely needed as the 10 turn potentiometer for the voltage is way too course (250V per rotation).
I tested it up to 1kV, it works fine BUT:
If you want to use it without a second lab PSU to set the output voltage you have to replace at least two of the potentiometers (voltage & current). They are completey worn out, replacement potis (5k 
, 2W) cost roughly 20 bucks per piece. I only controlled it via the remote interface (0-10V input for U,I & P) and would recommend doing that as it is the only way to get a precise voltage: For every 4mV of input voltage you get 1V output. 10V input->2.5kV output.
I am going to put it on ebay after i replaced those potis, but since you can (and should) use it without them and they just inflate the price by roughly 60€ i figured i put it up here if one of you guys wants a cheaper version.
Price? 170€ w/o new potentiometers, 220€ w new Visha precision potis.
EDIT: I can get those potis locally, if you want to buy it with new potis i'll have them installed within a day.
Shipping is going to cost you 15€ within germany and 30€ within the EU as this thing weights 13kg.
