WTB AU - Xeltek superpro
« on: August 17, 2024, 01:34:50 pm »
Hey all wondering if someone can help me out
I have a need to program Xilinx xc1736A
so need a programmer I can not justify spending over $770 aud on a Xeltek superpro 610p just to program  pull firmware off a chip and flash it to 2 more.

Any help in this regard greatly appreciated
rent buy loan or even willing to program chips locally (happy to drive) I have just been trust with the only working chip.

Note I am on Midnorthcoast NSW

Thread title is absolutely nonsensical considering what you actually need and xc1736A is xilinx.

It's not about perfection, it's that people who can do the job most likely won't look into this thread and those who want to sell their device will get deceived. Not to say most likely Xeltek is not the only programmer than can do the job.

xeltek superpro is the only one I can find that list the chip listed I can find others that list other variants of chip XC1736D/E
I have spent hours looking at what feels like every universal programmer and checking the supported IC lists

Well do you have a better approach ??? Can you help find better solution?

Change the title to something like "WTB programming service for xilinx xc1736A, xeltek"

It's more complicated, programming requires elevated voltages.

Well looks like the Dataman 48 aka labtool 48 would be perfect
unfortunately here in Australia it seems nothing is available local even spoke to a local distributor who was keen enough to get back to me on a sunday, said best option was to either pay big bucks to ship from US, buy new 6100 or play the waiting game on ebay.

did also have an amazing chat with someone who inbox me direct and was also very helpful.

Thank you for both for your input. I have learnt alot about this chip and capability with universal programmers today via more research.
I will chat to my client and see what direction he wishes to go down. as there does seem to be a cheap fix for his problem.

I have a 6100N with magic chip plus a couple of other earlier SuperPro units but I'm in Brisbane. I could program a bunch of chips if you sent them, but would need to confirm the package to ensure I had a suitable adapter.
