WTB: EPROM adapter for programming mc68hc711 chips
« on: February 22, 2021, 12:13:40 pm »
MC68HC11EA9 is a special HC11 chip that contains 12 Kbytes of UV-erasable EPROM, and there is a special "EPROM Emulation Mode" that allows the on-chip EPROM to be programmed as a standard EPROM by adapting the MCU footprint to that of the 27256-type EPROM.

You ned grounding the RESET, MODA, and MODB pins to place the MCU in PROG mode, and to apply the "programming voltage" on the XIRQ/VPPE pin, while the IRQ pin (CE pin in PROG mode) must be pulled high before the address and data are changed to program the next location.

I am looking for such adapter. I may build one myself, but first I'd like to hear if someone here has one for sale  :D
