Excellent interview! You can tell he is very interested in what he sells - that makes a whole world of difference.

Despite I haven't bought anything from Franky yet, his reputation is well deserved.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

Have you at all seen any of the reviews of his stuff?, everything I have bought so far, is of good quality, testleads, probes, powermeters, powersupply etc.. not bad crap like you find everywhere on ebay.

No - can you point me the way?  Thanks

Generally Frankie is very honest about the stuff in his shop, he only wants to stock the best value for money items, and will not sell anything he considers as poor quality. Thus his kits are very good value, and should be long lasting, and feel nice as well.

Yes, just an quick browse of the first pages on this thread would also show that.. there is a reason this seller have been allowed to keep this thread, if one remember all the others that have been deleted and banned..

I'll add my experience to the pile and say I've bought a half dozen times or so from Franky, always anonymously so there's no favouritism or whatnot, and have recommended his stuff to dozens of others, and I've never had or heard of a single bad experience in all of those purchases.  He's an honest guy and that's hard to find these days.

Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that I have returned home and re-opened my eBay store on Saturday. Was a bit overwhelmed by orders pouring in over the weekend so there are already a few items that have gone out of stock since. I'll try to restock as soon as I can but it may take some time as the new year break is just around the corner.

A few sets of the Kelvin clips are also on their way so for those interested please watch this space.

Hope everyone had a good holiday break and wishing you a great 2016!

Hi Franky, a quick question, which of the two "Carrying Case / Bag" for multimeter fit nicely with the Brymen 257s?

Between: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Synthetic-Leather-Zipper-Carrying-Case-for-Multimeters-Fits-Fluke-Brymen-BM-869-/200943447135?hash=item2ec929ac5f:g:xQ8AAOxyWalR467D
and: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Double-Layer-Zipper-Carrying-Case-Bag-for-Multimeters-Fits-UT61E-Fluke-87V-/171047385726?hash=item27d337fa7e:g:TtoAAOxyicJSFaGo

The "Double Layer Zipper Carrying Case" seems nice to fit the meter and some accessories, but I'm not sure how the small 257s will fit inside :D

Thanks :)

Glad to see you back. Thanks to my review of your Kelvin clips on another forum, I gave probably about a dozen people your information (including store address). A LOT were happy to know about a vendor with solid quality and good prices. You might get contacted by a couple about Kelvin clips.

No, I have not. I will try to see if I can find any supplier and pricing info. Is there a particular model you're interested in?

I would choose the double layer one, it will fit nicely. The other one is a bit too large for the 257.

Yes, it's possible. But it may take a couple of weeks as I just made my weekly stock replenishment order from the supplier so it will be some time next week before I make another order.

Fortunately my supplier hasn't shipped my order yet so I was able to add a few of those blue leads to it :) Please PM me your PayPal email address and shipping address, and I will send you an invoice as soon as I have them in my hand.

One thing, I just saw that the Brymen "golden probe" you sell come with a banana adaptor, I didn't get any with my BM257s, is there is any way to order them, because it's quite handy in fact to have banana able probe sometimes. If it's not possible, no worries, I still have some banana to banana cable, they work a treat :)
Just saw them in you shop and added in my basket \o/

Make sure your existing probes have the machined threads though, or they won't attach.

Good point, will check that tomorrow :)

Yes, Brymen makes a few different types of probes. There's a non-silicone type which also has gold plated tips but does not have the threading. They otherwise look almost identical to the silicone ones.

Re: Franky's sales thread - USB Power Monitors with minor defects
« Reply #471 on: December 30, 2015, 07:56:00 am »
I got one LCD Red and one LCD Green USB Power monitors with minor defects for sale at a discount here.

The Red one reads the temperature 10+ degrees lower than it should be. The relative reading seems fine (still go up and down normally), but it's just the absolute value that's off. The temperature reading on these devices is always just a for-reference-only kind of thing and is not supposed to be super accurate but this one is just off by too much. Everything else works fine.

The Green one has a couple of scratches on the LCD display but otherwise functions correctly. See picture below:

They both already have the latest v2.8 firmware installed and have been calibrated. I'm willing to let them go for $6 cheaper than their normal prices, i.e. $20.99 for the Red one and $22.99 for the Green one.

Here are the links to the product descriptions:
LCD Red: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-LCD-Power-Monitor-Red-YZXstudio-ZY1262-QC-2-0-Voltage-Current-Meter-/171946045948
LCD Green: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-LCD-Power-Monitor-Green-YZXstudio-ZY1263-QC-3-0-18-bit-Power-Meter-/171969412327

Please PM me with your Paypal and shipping details if you're interested.

So I should consider myself lucky, I have the silicon one with threaded golden tip ;)
