BTW, Franky, or other that have it, there is a 2x2 connector in the battery slot for the TASI-8620, I suspect some data-loging possibility but I haven't found anything on Internet, nor my Probing didn't give any clue .

Does anyone knows about that connector?

Hi Franky,

I'm chasing some of the yzx studio usb meters but can only see the red lcd one on your eBay store. Are you currently out of stock on the other ones or are they discontinued?

Cheers

On top of the page this is written:

This item is out of stock.

And, further down:

UPDATES:
2015-09-24 - New firmware version v2.7 available. See the description below for new features in v2.7. Previous customers interested in the upgrade can contact me for the firmware file and upgrade procedure (will require a ST-Link V2 compatible programmer). The device, however, has been sold out and will remain unavailable for a while, due to a supply shortage of the OLED display modules.

so, i guess, it means just that, sold out for the moment.

but this one, must be new, and looks interresting:

Where abouts was that info? I couldn't see anything saying anything about firmware or availability. Was that on this forum somewhere or on eBay?

I can't see any items not in stock from my phone which is why I asked. I go to his eBay store and there is only the red one with the lcd hence my question in the first place. No yellow, red oled or black one showing at all.

Hi Chris,

As neslekkim has pointed out, the Red, Yellow and Black OLED versions are all currently out of stock. They will remain out of stock for a while as YZXstudio will not able to source the OLED display modules for some time due to the main manufacturer of them in Taiwan having some large brand name orders to fulfill at the moment, and will not be able to supply the OLED displays to other smaller manufacturers for some time.

eBay normally doesn't show out-of-stock items in search results (or even if you visit my store page directly), but here are the links to the OLED versions for your reference:

Red: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-Power-Monitor-Red-YZXstudio-ZY1231-QC-2-0-Voltage-Current-Meter-OLED-/171606912751
Yellow: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-Power-Monitor-Yellow-Blue-YZXstudio-ZY1230-Voltage-Current-Meter-OLED-/171657443908
Black: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-Power-Monitor-Black-YZXstudio-ZY1252-18-Bit-Voltage-Current-Meter-OLED-/201397906943
New LCD Red: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-LCD-Power-Monitor-Red-YZXstudio-ZY1262-QC-2-0-Voltage-Current-Meter-/171946045948

There will soon be a Green version, which is the LCD equivalent of the Black one in terms of specs, except that it uses the same 3-PCB construction instead of the black plastic case. I was told the there would also be a Yellow equivalent with LCD later. YZXstudio is releasing all these LCD versions now mainly because of the shortage of the OLED display supply. The LCD versions do have a few advantages over the OLED counterparts though such as bigger size, much longer lifespan, better outdoor visibility and lower cost.

Cheers,
Franky

Thanks franky,

I put through a order for the red lcd one and some silicon alligator clip test leads last night. I'll be needing more gear in a little bit so I'll message you with what I'm needing.

Thanks! Today is a public holiday in Hong Kong so I won't be able to ship anything yet until tomorrow (Friday). If you let me know before then I might be able to ship everything together.

Just wanted to share a mail bag video posted by another one of my happy customers :)

I do want to make a few notes about the packaging and in particular the envelops I use for some of the packages I ship now. The type of envelop I used for his particular shipment in the above video I can now only use for certain kinds of shipment to certain countries, namely tracked shipments to AU, NZ, UK, CA and US. For non-tracked shipments I have to use different types of envelops now which allow easy opening and re-sealing for customs inspection. This is due to a recent change in policy by Hong Kong Post and in order to keep my shipping costs manageable I need to comply to it.

These new envelops do not come with bubble padding but I do include my own bubble wrapping inside to make sure there's enough protection. A typical one would look like the attached image.

Wow, a green one. So if I get a green one with the red one I'll have Christmas colors on my bench.  :)
So the green one will have the higher resolution with the extra 18bit DAC, nice.
I've only seen videos of the OLED red one until mine arrives, but it looks like the LCD also is able to display more information on a single menu screen.  :)

Any plan for Banana to BNC adaptors or BNC to Banana and other adaptors?

Franky, why arent these available in mixed colours ?. your sale only allows us to choose one or the other.

You can use eBay's shopping cart to add different colours into the same order. If you don't see the "add to cart" button when you visit my eBay store, try to use the ebay.COM URL, instead of your country's extension, such as .co.uk, .ca, .nl, etc. The "add to cart" button should appear as soon as your replace the domain extension to ".com".

Thanks, glad you liked it :) In fact, even the staff at the post office thought they were pretty neat too..LOL! But again, these are only used for certain types of orders, due to some new post office's policy for easy customs inspection. Packages to the USA, and tracked packages to AU, NZ, CA and the UK are still packed using the traditional padded envelops, as they do not have such requirements.

Mine arrived today as well (7 working days, awesome). Like the new packaging too.  :-+
No need anymore for ripping through the envelope to get to my items. (better not use one for Dave, he might get disappointed he doesn't have to use he's Dundee Knife >:D )

Without wishing to steal Franky's thunder, there is what I assume to be a pricing error on the UK RS website, not sure if you can get them to ship to you. I bought three sets a month or so ago.
