Wanted: one LTC1968 RMS to DC converter
« on: March 18, 2022, 08:29:05 am »
Hi!
I built Jan Didden's Autoranger project, and I need a single IC to finish/repair it. An AD LTC1968 RMS to DC converter, in MSOP8 package - can anybody help me? I am located in Italy, and Ebay does not help.

Scavenge from a MIKROE-3311 board? They can still be found. Otherwise 4-12 months delay in the places I looked.

Hi Daisizhou,
I have no doubt that on taobao and AliExpress there’s stuff, but you will agree with me that there is not such a great track record with difficult to find parts from Chinese sellers. And this even excluding the fakes. I got burned once with a seller that was selling 5x Atmel644 at about 20$ and immediately after raised the price to more than 100$, telling me that if I wanted the parts I had to pay the difference otherwise they’ll refund. Had to go thru to paypal to get money back. Not cool.
So Ill try here first, at least, if someone has a spare.
However, thank you for your concern and help I do appreciate it!

Maybe you are not familiar with Chinese online shopping habits, or have language communication problems.Or your shipping address is foreign
When shopping in China, people generally only use "Alipay" and "WeChat" to pay. There is also PAYPAI payment, which is rarely supported by merchants because of the troublesome withdrawal.
I think if you want to get the price you see on the page, you need a Chinese friend to help you succeed

Dear Daisizhou,
Unfortunately I have no Chinese friends, and surely enough I do not speak Mandarin.... plus, I am in Italy as far as foreign delivery is concerned.
As for payment method, sure I can add Alipay to my phone. I still don’t know how to avoid scams, fakes etc on Chinese marketplaces. Would you help?
All my best,
Franco

You need to choose an intermediate price。If the price is chosen too low, the risk of being scammed is high。Shipping can be high if you buy in China
Do you have a transshipment warehouse in China?

I just took a cursory look at the chip data,If you don't want to buy counterfeit chips, then you need to test the chips in China。Only after confirming that the chip specifications are correct, shipping is the most correct choice

Of course。 I don't know how I can help you。help you buy chips? Test chip? or both are required
