It appears to works fine, though the K2015 doesn't have self-test so it's hard to be sure.
It does not have the internal self tests like the K2000. This is a stupid omission and deliberate as looking at the hex dump of the firmware the tests are all there. I may just have a go at hacking it to enable the darn thing.
I decided to back up my calibration EEPROM and convert my 2015 to a 2000 by swapping the firmwares. Indeed all the self tests work except the initial 100.1 100.2 which are for testing the reference is within spec IIRC. The service manual states that all subsequent tests are off if you get these, but from calibration tests and actual measurement of the reference that is nonsense with the K2015.
So I would say if you have a 2015 and want to do a full self test then plug in the ROMs from a 2000 and skip the 100 tests. The rest should come out ok. If they don't then they provide great pointers to faults when following the 2000 service manual (and the schematic available on TiNs xdevs)
