Where is the best place to list this item to get the most views? I have had it listed on eBay but I'm not getting many views.

I purchased it for one project which is done and would like to sell it and get a benchtop LCR meter.

digitize 560 channels

That's a lot of channels!

The more specialist the kit, the longer it takes to sell. Might take a year or more for this beast.

Perhaps showing a price of ~$6k for something that sells new for ~$3k puts people off  :-//

I realise the extra stuff bumps the value up considerably, but you only see that if you bothered to get past the first  two lines.

Also, if looks to be very specialist in that not everyone needs 560 channels or $14k worth of relays. Can you separate out? Maybe you might end up only selling half then, but half might be better than nothing.

In my opinion: you need a better title (it got cut off by the character limit, but it needs to include the modules/channel count), you need to show the expensive part in the image (the backside, straight on), and ebay views seem to dip around October a bit in my experience, so some of it may just be the time of year.

EDIT: Forgot to say that with pricey, niche-application stuff, expect it to take months.  The total movement on the market for this class of many-measurement chassis is on the order of maybe 10 units a month, and the vast, vast majority of them will be older and much cheaper.  Your potential buyer pool is very small, so expecting a lot of views or a quick sale (days to a couple of weeks) is probably not realistic.

FWIW I've always noticed that very expensive equipment never brings a good price on ebay.  IMO the kind of people that generally need something like that tend to be large manufacturers and government contractors and the like and they don't buy used.

If you only needed such a specialized piece of equipment for a short time, you should have rented instead of buying. Otherwise it's like buying a new car to make one trip in and then wanting resell it; you're going to take a huge hit on the initial depreciation.

Depending on where you are and what tax bracket you in and if it has the value that you say that it does, then you might be better off donating and claiming a tax exemption.

You can look at sold listings:
- 34980A sells for $700-$900
- 34924A no sold listings but similar products are $300-1300
So your price might be quite good or it might be too high.

What you want to do is make a new listing with maybe 4pc of those mux cards, and let people buy a quantity of 1 at a time.
Sell the 34980A alone or with one card installed.
Profile -> Modify profile -> Look and Layout ->  Don't show users' signatures

same here ...  but for me if you play with the msrp, it's a turn off
even in a perfect shape, it's used ...  that alone for me is easily 20% off

but yes you can search for the average sold pricings, and if you are too tight say on the offer it can deter people  ...

Ebay is not always the best place,  here  you'll need to be patient

it is a very specific kit ... for a specific need

you do have some companies who buy used equipment, but once again, does it get interesting ?

I second that, quote MSRP and I will stop reading.

I've bought three (used) 34980A's in the last 12 months. With lots of different modules available the possible configurations vary quite a lot - the included modules I got were a "nice bonus" but the modules I actually wanted, I bought separately. The suggestion to sell the modules separately is good advice.

Hello

Big or very specialized equipment have a very limited market as most of them are purchased new by big companies or rent it from rental companies .

the very good ( old ) HP3852A system is still on the market for a very low cost challenger regarding the performances .

For less channels 34970 or the 72 is very cheap too

Another problem is the shipping weight / cost if you plan to sale outside USA

Good luck

Regards
OS
