Hello everyone.  I have sold quite a bit of stuff with the help of this forum, so THANK YOU!  With that said, I am going to have to stop the sale of the remaining items due to logistical issues.  I am just too far away from the location of these items and the equipment is hard for my family to find when I do make a sale.  Thank you.

Arion

Hi all.  Recently, a family member has past away.  He has a bunch of old test equipment in an old Radio Shack store he owned and is no longer in operation.  All of the equipment is vintage, and some I believe may be of some value to the right person.  The test equipment is the first part of the list.  The HAM radio stuff is at the end of the list.  I took pictures of everything, but there are too many to post here.  If interested, please message me and we can figure out a price.  I can provide what pictures I took when I did the inventory.  I am trying to sell this equipment for my aunt, who doesn't know much of anything about this stuff.  I am just trying to help.  Hopefully someone here will find interest in some of this stuff  :)

Sorry for the formatting... I don't have much time and what looks good in the message editor does not look the same in the post preview :-(

Sure.  It will probably take a couple posts for all the pics.  Here it goes!

All of the equipment is vintage,

It is indeed vintage.

and some I believe may be of some value to the right person.

Some of it might be interesting for collectors (the Heathkit stuff), or for people doing retro electronics (tube testers). Others, well ...

You could look for a local ham club and ask them if they want to buy the equipment of a "silent key" (if I got my ham lingo right, I am not one). But my feeling is you'll have problems selling all of it, some might not even sell on ebay. I hope your aunt won't be too disappointed.

Bored@work,

Thanks for the reply.  I kind of figured this.  I don't think there is a ham club anywhere near where the equipment is located... The middle of the Nevada desert.  Lovelock, NV to be exact.  Quite a distance from anything.  I will try ebay... or maybe a yard sale.  Thanks again for the insight.

Interesting...  I see some of my family on that list.  I'm in Nevada visiting, but do not reside in this state anymore.  Might be worth posting in the local paper (if there is one). Thanks for that link!

The only thing I can see that is easy to sell is the Bird wattmeter, and maybe the Yaesu YP-150, the rest is indeed collectors stuff.

No promises, but I just pinged the local surplus dealer to see if he'd be interested in taking it off your hands.  I doubt you'd get top dollar, especially because he's out of state, but maybe you'd get *something* for it.  If he's interested, I'll put you in touch.

Arion ,
I am a ham and there are a bunch ham web sites some of the popular ones are ,
QRZ , eham and qth with classifieds , that way you can get more direct to hams and clubs , post a thread on each asking for nearby clubs .
Do you have some idea on what you would want for the Bird meter and what slugs there are for it ?

David,

Sorry for the late response.  I will be updating the list of equipment soon.  Some items have sold, but not a lot.

Bad timing; I just bought a CR70 a little while ago to restore scope and SA CRTs.

There's a testequipment  trader group; you might list some of it there.

Also, there's a antique radio forum http://www.antiqueradios.com/ where people would be interested in some of that, particularly the tube gear.
