« on: December 29, 2016, 10:51:06 am »
I have a very nice board for sale

8051,  fast static ram(1),  DIP socket for an EPROM and an ISA8 bit bus.

price 20 euro + postage.

How much is postage to California?  That price is for a bare PCB, right?
Schematic?
What's the rightmost socket?  More RAM?

Sigh.  I do want an 8051 PCB, partially to use up the chips I've collected.  But those are mostly DIPs.  Designing for and Marketing to hobbyists is ... frustrating.

I have to check the UPS price list.
I believe it would be something like 20 euro.

That price is for a bare PCB, right?

It's for the board you can see in the picture, already mounted and tested (except the ISA8 but)
The UV-Eprom is missing in the photo, but it will be provided, empty, or burned with BASIC-51

Schematic?

I might have them, somewhere. You can also reverse the schematic, it's a very simple circuit.
Anyway, I have to check for it.

But those are mostly DIPs.

yep, it was the same here with a 68000 board I have recently designed
I say a very frustrating and expensive experience, the first and the last time I do something like that
It also took a lot of time to get all the chips DIP packaged  :palm: :palm: :palm:

My next stop comes with fpga. Definitively!

I might also have for sale a bigger board
It's all-dip-packaged chips.

CPU, and glue logic chips, they all come in dip package.

and it comes with
8051, DIP package, clocked @ 11Mhz
ROM, 32Kbyte, currently it contains intel basic-51
RAM, 32Kbyte
EEPROM sockets, 3 sockets, 8Kbyte each, sorry they are empty
TTL-RS232 and cable

it's 160x110mm board, 2 layers
with schematic and a backplane.

But I will ask 60 euro for it. Plus postage.

I have to take some pictures.
Currently I don't have a camera with me.

So is this just ONE board, or something you are making as a general for-sale item?

haven't forgotten anything  :D

the link is gone and I simply don't have a digital camera on hand to take a new picture, but I will as soon as possible, and, in the meanwhile, the above mark to the topic is refreshing my notification counter, also giving more visibility to the topic, hence if someone is interested he/she can contact me by PM!

oh, and the link in my signature points to a forum-bazaar-minimarket-place that we have recently created to sell/buy/trade retro-computing stuff among hobbyists; probably I will list the 8051 board there. At the moment the server is offline since with my friends we are physically moving the "bunker" (1) and the server (a cluster of 2 mac-mini/PPC) ten meters underground

(1) funny name, it's a joke, but look at the URL's name, it's really "www dot downthebunker dot xyz", and it will be really hosted in a true underground mini-bunker  ;D
