What ever happened to the X-Carve ?
« on: October 29, 2015, 11:28:30 pm »
Hi Dave

What ever happen to the X-Carve X-Y Milling Machine that Dave2 was working on ? You did 2 long videos of the assembly but we never saw it completed. Is it working ? Is it tested ? Was completion held up because it was short parts ?

Inquiring minds want to know :)

If I remember correctly there are many unfinished items:
- He also has a pick and place machine he wanted to assemble.
- A long time ago Dave got a magazine with an embedded video into one page, but never did a teardown.
- From the tv transmitter he only did a teardown of the video modulator but not of the mixer and the amplifier.
- Videos #666 and #741 are still missing.

There are probably many more items sitting on the shelves or in the bunker waiting for assembly or teardown (I remember seeing a medical ultrasound unit in one video).

Maybe Dave should start a new category, the unfinished business wednesday? That would be great!

I have a video I this I should upload to EEVblog2
So yeah, still sitting there waiting to go to the bunker for a first run (too messy in the lab)

Two huge items down in the bunker for teardown, plus all those other things. Yes there is a shelf of them  :-[
