Problems Watching Blog on Safari
« on: April 29, 2011, 11:15:30 pm »
Hi,
Is anyone else with intel macs having problems watching the blog? In safari it freezes both on the eevblog website and youtube. Its not my internet connection(I live in the UK and have Virgin Media(50mb)) and its not at a peak time either as its just happened at its 00:12. So if anyone else is having these issues how are you getting around them?
TIA,
Dean

No problems here either, Mac OS X 10.6.7, Safari 5.0.5.

Maybe it's the Flash plugin hanging, update to the latest version, or kill the WebKitPluginHost which will force reload of the plugin(s).

Killing the Flash plugin fixed the problem. Its strange as with any other youtube video I don't have this problem :S

Glad it worked. This happens from time to time on other sites and killing the plugin host task is an effective remedy.

Alternatively, you could force HTML5 on YouTube videos (also works on Vimeo), there's a Safari extension here: http://www.verticalforest.com/2010/10/27/youtube5-version-2/

Really? I guess I never bothered to try enough, I still keep using the Flash version.

Maybe there's a way to block the ads? :)
