Some people seem to contribute to a thread when they have no idea or experience
- just making it harder for the OP to extract meaningful answers.

Do you have a hard time identifying meaningful answers or do you worry about other people?

Some people can extract meaning from a farting rock. At the other end of the spectrum, other people don't get it even when the answers comes up, introduces itself and slaps them on the face, hard, twice.

The fun thing about forums, contrary to misguided belief, don't exist for "those who don't know to get answers fast".
They are a hangout of sorts.
Like sitting around a campfire. Drinking beer. At the beach. On a summer night. When it didn't used to be illegal.
Now imagine someone coming up and asking a question and saying. Now before you guys start answering ......look! I don't want to have to listen to all of you spewing whatever comes to mind unless you know and are correct. I just want the right answers in 25 words or less so I can be on my way. Unless I don't understand the answer because I know less than a farting rock in which case you will have to educate me first before you answer my question.

No, no, no...we have this nice fire going and drinking beer on the beach on a nice summer night and here you are coming over wanting a crash course on <insert subject or issue here>.  You get what you get.

Or start your own campfire and bring your own beer.

If three 100  Ohm resistors are connected in parallel, and in series with a 200 Ohm resistor, how many resistors do you have?

Dislike button were not added for a reason. Forum shall not become a yet another dislike trolling dump or a place where people are measuring their dicks like/dislike ratio.
Doesn't it add to the democracy?  Helping weaker punters identify trolls or time-wasters?

Truth by democracy? No thanks, truth should be discovered by arguments!

The Thanks option really has no ability to be misused. But a Dislike or No Thanks option is begging to be misused, and as is human nature, I'd bet my life it would be.
