Whtas up with the live webcam?
« on: July 19, 2015, 10:10:02 pm »
How long has the live webcam been off air, and why is it not 24/7 anymore?  (i.e. this: http://www.eevblog.com/live/)

The Camera is no longer 24/7. IIRC it is only on during the day whilst Dave is "in"
<MatCat> The thing with aircraft is murphy loves to hang out with them
<Baljem> hey, you're the one who apparently pronounces FPGA 'fuhpugger'

Just like it says on the page, it works business hours on a mechanical timer.
No point any other time, it's dark and no one is there.

A mechanical timer? By the founder of the EEVblog?  :-DD
Certainly WE need to see a micro based auto daylight saving adjustment, etc, etc.

Don't be silly' a micro is to simple, Dave need a raspberry pi connected to his calendar app on his phone.

How about a mouse and treadmill so we can see something move when no one is there
Looks like a picture otherwise

or how about a useless machine

http://www.makershed.com/products/useless-box-kit

designed so that no one has to flip the switch, maybe two machines tied together with a rod

OR how about a Kickstarter on a useless machine that operates on its own

(a fan would work)

Or you can work on your projects instead of having to look at a "nothing to see here" feed :)
