PID controller
« on: June 06, 2013, 02:06:33 am »
Hi Dave Sir ,
I am Baskaran , big fan of yours . Thumbs up for the FUNDAMENTAL FRIDAY. Please teach us about PID controller in the fundamental Friday. Also explain us an example of how to design a PID controller for fast response system like power supply. I already did PID controller using micro controller in my PID temperature controller solder station and it works just fine. But in fast response system I struggle with the problem of overshoot. Please sir and also suggest a standard book for PID controller.

There are some good videos about PID (and Laplace, control theory etc) on YouTube channel below

PID is fundamental electronics?
Well feedback in general is.
Whole series on feedback on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/course?list=EC80DBC78FA0498727

I think this is by far most comprehensive and IMHO best lecture series on Electronics on Youtube. I cannot say this about most of the lectures on that channel but this guy simply rocks.
