Keep in mind that as of yet, LBRY does not transcode videos -- what you upload is exactly what your viewers will be watching. That allows higher quality than YouTube, but has several major drawbacks. First, you have to upload in a streaming-compatible format, like H.264 -- so near-lossless professional codecs like ProRes cannot be used. And more importantly, you have to be mindful of what kind of resolutions and bitrates your viewer's devices and Internet connections will be able to handle. So if you upload 4K 60fps video at a mega-high bitrate, it may look beautiful on your end, but a lot of your viewers won't be able to watch it -- and not everyone has unlimited data allowance on their service plan.
The "master quality" sounds great for videophiles, even if only a small percentage of content would actually make good use of it.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.

Most (all?) of the top channels on LBRY at the moment are using the Youtube sync features which gets the video from Youtube, so these won't be master upload quality.
Vimeo has long been the platform for filmmakers to showcase their videos in full resolution, and all of my videos on there are direct uploads of my master files. Again, not master quality on Vimeo either, but the compression is much less aggressive than Youtube.

@EEVblog are you posting new content to LBRY.tv or it's just a backup? Why did you do that?

About processing quality, Marques Brownlee made a video about it:

Like all Youtubers on LBRY I let LBRY automatically pull my videos over from Youtube. Quality is still 1080p but a reduced bitrate.
Why? becuase it's vastly easier. It's completely hands off and it does it all automatically including the video, description, title and thumbnail.
