EEVblog #129 - US Airline TSA Security Rubbish
« on: November 27, 2010, 01:22:52 pm »
I think this could be just the smell of something much worse.  Author, journalist, film maker John Pilger (Australian) thinks that America is under a military coo that happed in the 1960's probably when they killed Kennedy, We have not seen any peace war after war so makes some sense.

911 was a false flag attack I think look at building number 3 that just fell down. The towers collapsed like a controlled destruction possibly with "nano thermite". there was massive steel supports that just fell apart from burning kerosene which can not burn hot enough to melt steel then the site is cleared in a hurry and the evidence shipped to China to melt down. Checkout 911 Truth Movement. I know Dave has not fell for the official line here.

Looks  like the burning of the Reichstag in Germany that allowed the Natzi regime, Adolph Hitler, and the Third Reich to get power.

It makes you wonder about Pearl Harbor as well did they have no intelligence then ? Just a thort but could be wrong about it as I have done no research on that it just seems to fit the pattern.

The  scariest thing is that  security is in the hands of people who are so stupid that they think these stupid measures help anything.
According to renowned   security expert Bruce Schnier, only two things have improved air security since 9/11 - locked flight-deck doors, and  passengers will now try to take out an attacker.

Oh dear! Not more conspiracy theories! They simply give the authorities more intelligence than they deserve to be credited for!

Yeah, the TSA is a load of BS, they are stupid enough to have handed Osama Bin Laden a major victory - ordinary people's freedom, dignity and security all stripped away!

The Israeli El Al have been much more effective at preventing terror attacks on their flights over the past few decades without recourse to compulsory nudie machines or state sponsored sexual molestation.

$9 dollars extra for posting more than 430 grams to the US, now that is BS, it's just an import tariff under the guise of security.

One thing amazes me the most:I honestly believe that US officials and goverment are not stupid, but they certainly act so. I can not understand how they fail to see the most obvious thing: they act as positive feedback amplifier, with multi milion gain, for the bad guys!

Some idiot spends few hundred $ on some industrial explosives, cheapo cellphones, and toner cartridges. US goverment imediately spends milions in security "improvements". They are draining themselves financialy, raping their own citizens, introducing fear, hurting the normal flow of people and capital. Exactly what the bad guys want to do, but they don't do anything beside siting down and drinking cold beer somewhere watching TV, while the USG is doing that for them!

I am not conspiracy theory fan, but it would't suprise me a lot to found out that those new and probably very expensive x ray scanners are made by companies owned by weapon makers and war lobyist. Don't wait for the need, create one... I think we have seen it already with pharmaceuticals and sars, bird flu, swine flu, etc....

What happened on 9/11 is very well known. Anyone who believes or professes to believe otherwise is an idiot or is simply engaging in intentional self-delusion, or pushing an agenda. By this I mean conspiracy theories about US government involvement, demolition, etc.

Rubbish, and even most of those promulgating these "theories" know it full well. They are simply trying to be the smartest person in the room (they are not, by the way) or they are pushing an agenda.

It is power that makes these people believe that "they know best" and act "objectively" ie ignoring the opinions of those below them because they are too "subjective"

History is littered with examples of that kind of high level stupidity bringing down nations and empires resulting in huge numbers of deaths.

By the way, Nermash, does your honest belief include George W Bush?  ;D

All that the terrists need do is attempt bombs in a carefully chosen selection of products - laptops, hard disks, TVs etc. to effectively make the US embargo itself from importing anything useful.

All these 911 conspiracy theories, if I read one more today I'll have to go fashion a tinfoil hat.

The motives of the postal surcharge are transparent and they have nothing to do with security and everything to do with business and industry protectionism under the guise of national security. It's the level playing field you have when you realise oversees imports may threaten any position of advantage on the current playing field.

Even governments as thick as our current Aussie one will soon realise a reciprocal surcharge applied to imports will keep Gerry Harvey onside, and will keep his donations and public support happening.

Think of the new postal  charges as an Internet Shopping Tax and you soon get the picture. Are the taxes applied fairly? How many taxes are?    :'(

Great vlog Dave. I was laughing so hard at the bit about the pilots having to go through the nudie machines.

Personally I can't wait for the first terrorist with an arse bomb to detonate and usher in the age of mandatory colonoscopies before flying.

/sarcasm

IMO the reason for the security retardation on display these days is that beauracracies have become deathly afraid of public censure and so policies are set forth as hard rules with no room for interpretation by frontline enforcement.

The funnies part is that the current state of affairs is exactly what Osama Bin Laden said he wanted to cause before 9/11 and that Islamic terrorists have done it despite being so incredibly incompetent. If the IRA* was attacking America they would have caused complete economic collapse if the response had of been the same.

With all the raping of civil liberties by the US Government I would put money on the next major US terrorist being another McVeigh.

Oh and I really wish the Aussie government had balls and gave America reciprocal treatment for all this security BS.

* Which was mostly funded by Americans. The biggest win in the "War on Terror" was that Irish-Americans stopped funding them.

I will weigh in on this as I happen to live in the states and am a small business owner.

TSA:
Utter BS. I give props to the "Don't Touch My Junk" guy and have a sad face tonight after watching Dave's post about that import/internet tax hike (and that is exactly what it is). As if employment here wasn't bad enough, our plummeting dollar, inflation! TSA...In a way I feel sorry for the TSA employees that noted that they are embarrassed to touch the junk. I say that because I see a lot of posts saying they should quit their job, but that is BS considering we have almost a true 20% unemployment. I for one though don't plan to travel during this BS. If I do, I will be one of the many "Don't Touch My Junk" mother fuckers.

Conspiracy Theories about 9/11:
Rubbish...Utter Bullshit...this is as retarded as the birther retards now asking about Obama's citizenship (get over it for fuck sake). My dad is a structural engineer and he took a look at this theory himself and I participated in his research because it captivated me. His conclusion, no explosives or whatever people happen to spread BS about. It really was the planes.

My History and Thoughts:
I started paying attention to politics when Clinton was in office. He was a joke, Bush was a POS, and Obama is apparently doing his damnist to fall in with his predecessors. Not one of them was or is great. They sold themselves on one side of the fence and then sold out that group of people at a drop of the hat to jump to the other side. I think the bottom line with US presidents and business/wall street is that there is no respect, loyalty, honesty, or sense of good out there any more. Same goes for most American people...you know, the ones that bought a house knowing they couldn't afford it. Oh and don't give me BS about government/home loan company trickery. If you signed it, you should have done your homework. If you didn't, you are a dumbass.

The main problem lies in the other branches of federal government. You can argue what you may (like Arizona's immigration law etc), but this country was founded on states rights and our federal government has been on a war path to take these away. Screw presidents for a second and note that it is congress who has fucked this up for Americans and everyone else around the world. Congress gave Bush the power to go above and beyond on Afghanistan and Iraq, they approved the DMCA and laws like it, etc. Obama of course running on a ticket against everything that Bush 'accomplished' has accepted all that power, ran with it, and is as big of a POS. Congress keeps giving them the power and selling normal people like us out. They keep giving big corporations the power and screwing us (you know sorros vs konch).

Bottom line, its some fucked up shit. In the US republicans/conservatives and democrats/liberals are the biggest pieces of shit on this continent. If they keep going with their 'agendas' we will be fucked. There is no right or wrong, there is only left for business and right for business and fuck the little guy.

So what is the problem here? How did we get here? Well there are numerous problems everywhere and this list does not include the "99 problems and the bitch ain't one".
1) Two party system :(
2) Unchecked spending
3) Government Law totally messed up allowing corporations to get away with murder
4) Lobbyist (Major corporations/unions controlling the Right and the Left)
5) And an major part of American people just don't pay attention or do not care

A Few Points:
3) Corporations are inherently evil. They always have been and always will be. Corporations are suppose to make a profit for their principals/share holders. The fact that Obama demonizes them is a joke. Government has one job as far as this is concerned, they are suppose to make sure corps stay in the rules of the law. This does not mean that the government should hire 10,000 extra employees to oversee the creation of a widget (which they do), but should enforce certain laws to protect the public by keeping us safe, spending as little money as possible, and not creating more government jobs.

5) My wife fits in this category. I try to tell her about what is going on in the world and she doesn't want to talk about it, doesn't pay attention, or doesn't care. You think she would considering she is from Romania during communist times and absolutely hates illegals getting a free pass considering she waited in line. She told me she has not even voted in 10 years.
I see this at my programming job too. I work with 27 people. I have gotten to know most of them pretty well. There is one guy who is all over Obama's balls. We don't agree on much accept that Bush sucks. Everyone else doesn't give a damn (except the owner). The company is an IPA watching over 1000+ doctors. You think they would care sense the company is loosing doctors over the health care crap and people at my company are being laid off because of it.

At this point, I see three possibilities to wake up the common American. We elect a bunch of people that end up fixing this mess (I doubt it), we continue to live like the sheep that we have become, or we fail/fall and fix it with guns etc. I believe the latter of the two will end up being the result and TBH I hope we fail because I feel like I live in a country with a bunch of zombies walking around waiting for $$$ to show up for a meal.

Final Thought: Well don't believe anything about how evil business is in America and how bad they fucked this country up. Just look at how Obama and the like demonized the Gulf spill when it was the EPA who was truly at fault. When you get down to it, you only need to look at our government to realize the problem. Basically the greedy CEOs have taken it over and they have a quote unquote unlimited money supply to ensure we all follow that one lemming over the cliff. Obama, Nancy Pelocy, John Boehner, Bush, etc are the enemy. It just doesn't matter what side you believe in anymore.

If all else fails, could I move in with you Dave??!?!

TSA:
Utter BS.

TSA, aren't these the guys who steal from your luggage? At least more than 1% of them, since this is roughly the amount of TSA workers who have been caught and fired for stealing. Makes you wounder how many more haven't been caught ...

And now tell me, if 1% of the TSA workers can't stay away from crime, and are willing to risk their job for a few $ of stolen goods, how many of them can be bribed to look the other way?

Careful, check Australian immigration laws first. Their immigration detention facilities aren't known for their hospitality either (of course, operation of the facilities is outsourced to a private company ...).

Right?!? Considering how much money we owe the world, who would want us anyways.

BTW I watched that John Pilger video...I know the US is currently screwed up, but Communism is not the fix it formula. Go figure they think that because democracy might fall that they can reconstitute their plan. Capitalism and Democracy may not be the best solution but Communism has had its day and failed miserably. Oh I don't know, our immigration facilities have been over subscribed for some time now. Can't be that inhospitable.  :-X

Considering there is constant talk in the US about restitution to African Americans that were traded to my great great uncle by other African Americans, I guess I should get out my credit card.

I am still wondering what ever happened to Native Americans. Still wondering why it is my fault. WTF!

The theory is they did not use "Explosives" but nano thermite a military grade substance that burns through steel like butter quietly.

The John Pilger video is about how American power is being abused to change and control nations and destroy their freedoms. It is not talking about "Communism" but American Imperialism even worse in my book. Did you even understand it ?

Put a bulit in my head. Please keep calm the video is not about Communism.  I like the idea of a Republic with the rule of law as an idea but it ends with corrupt politicians and a fekless public who let it turn into a rule by the rich and powerful or military.

Excellent Rant!

"Conspiracy theorists" and those who deny them outright annoy me equally; they are the two faces of the same unperceptive unthinking coin. The latter are typically naive and unimaginative and seem to exist to neutralize the unfocused enthusiasm of the former -- but the former at least have enough balls to speak their mind, rock the boat, and sometimes are not crazy at all!

In the imminent future, Hacker turned Journalist Julian Assange (Australian, by the way!) from Wikileaks is due to release further "classified" dirt on the Pentagon.
Prior to his first major release, the Pentagon condemned the journalist as irresponsible, claiming that people's lives would be put at risk. This proved to be bullshit: not one person was harmed as a result of the release.
With this next release we will see how governments do a hell of a lot behind the scenes and how we simple people are given an illusion of knowing what is happening by the mainstream journalists.

Ask yourself how it is that a small independent journalist has obtained and released more "dirt" on governments than all mainstream put together.

.o:0|O|0:o.
P.S. If you find yourself feeling uncomfortable when people rock the boat, don't worry, it is normal. Human beings like to conform for the sense of comfort and security it provides, its psychological.

I think it is state department dirt this time. There seems to be a lot of diplomatic damage control already going on behind the scenes, e.g. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1333213/WikiLeaks-revelations-expose-corruption-allies-U-S-warns-Britain.html (note, however, the daily fail is not a reputable news paper).

"Conspiracy theorist" I find is a bit of a put down as if you must be a special type of lunatic. I'm not.

I'm just a normal person who has seen what happened and do not find it plausible that the buildings fell like a pack of cards.  I have worked in the construction and maintenance of buildings like the towers in NY.

I just can't see how fire from aircraft fuel could burn and make the towers collapse as they did,  I would expect a large amount of structural steel to be left standing all twisted maybe. The burning from jet fuel I do not think is hot enough to melt trough the steel, but to fall like a pack of cards is just unbelievable to me without some other weakening of the structure.

"two faces of the same unperceptive unthinking coin"   In some cases you will be correct but not in my case I have spent a lot of time worrying about it and a lot of thinking, I consider myself to have a technical aptitude and common sense, I would love to think it was all just a terrorist atrocity but I'm convinced there is more to it.

I have found people saying things that have only made me more certain that it was something other than what it appeared to be.

I do not want to go into it here or any ware really I find it so upsetting.

There is plenty of information to find on-line if you keep an open mind. There is a 911 Truth Movement I do not follow what they are saying but I think there are some cleaver engineers and they do not believe the official reports either.

A lady from NY who worked for a wealthy family in NY, we met her in the UK said that they was told not to go to the towers that day and I believed her. Thats one of the things that got me thinking about it more.

I personally find more ironic than the pilots going through the scanners is that in the UK, the armed police that patrol the departure lounge. Now I don't understand how any form of firearms are going to stop any terrorist hijacking a plane on the ground.

I don't understand why the police need to be checked if they have anything dangerous when they have two types of firearms and live ammo. *rolls eyes* Theatre security at it's worst imho. I'm more worried about any police shooting innocent people than being blown up with some terrorist. That's terrorism created by us for you.

Ask yourself how it is that a small independent journalist has obtained and released more "dirt" on governments than all mainstream put together.

Wikileaks hasn't except in shear page count. Also most of what they leaked was already known they just revealed primary source documents.

Wikileaks just got lucky with a few retarded sources (one of whom is going to do time for being a moron).

Governments don't write any of the real dirt down (which is why you need investigative journalists, not just a web based drop box). Any Government documents contain information known by hundreds to thousands of people minimum.
