Maybe I missed a specific option in my profile settings...

Often there is missing the "All" button to show all pages of a lengthy thread - why?
Is there a solution?

There is a limit, it only works on threads which are a few pages long.

I don't think it's a profile option. It's not only about protecting your browser from 90 pages of content on one page, but also protecting the server from processing one request for 90 times longer time than normally.

I think the limit is 20 pages.
It would be nice if subsequently there was an option: "show the first 20 pages at once", "show the second 20 pages at once".
It would be a compromise between 1 and 90.

AFAIK the most you can do in this direction is increase the number of post per page in your forum settings. The default is something like 20 or 25, you can get it to 50 or maybe 100.
